Remember when choosing your new hair colour that you need to take your existing hair colour into account. For example, if you put a warm medium-red hair colour on top of your medium brown, you'll get an auburn colour, not the warm red that the model on the box has. |

Hair colours vary in depth and tone. To add a special dimension to your colour consider whether you want a light, medium or dark colour. For example, a light blonde might be more suitable than a darker blonde.
Also keep in mind your skin tone and the colour of your eyes. If you have hazel, blue, blue-grey or pink eyes go for a cool, ash colour. If you have darker, brown eyes then go for a warm colour.
Similarly, if you have olive, rosy brown or fair skin, go for a cool colour and if you have golden brown or darker skin, go for a warm colour.
